Aristotle Park
On the northwest entry of the Municipality Stagira-Akanthos, next to the historic and beautiful village Stagira, you will find the famous Aristotle Park at an altitude of about 500 meters. The wonderful location of this park was selected in 1956 to host the imposing statue of Aristotle. He was born in 384 BC in Stagira, Halkidiki, and is undoubtedly one of the greatest intellects of the Western civilization. This park is not your typical monument dedicated to the figure of Aristotle. Instead, the park is thematic and interactive, providing visitors an opportunity to get in touch with the physical phenomena referenced by Aristotle in his great work Physics.
